The truth must not be distorted — the KLA war was just

Dr. Bekim Haxhiu, former PDK deputy and himself a KLA veteran, has described the final phase of proceedings at the Specialist Court in The Hague as “the decisive battle for the truth” about the KLA's war of liberation.

He stated that Belgrade is attempting to rewrite history through fabricated documents, portraying aggressors as victims and liberators as perpetrators.

“The KLA war was just and a war of liberation. It was strongly supported by NATO. It was for freedom, for survival and for human dignity,” he declared. “Truth is not judged — it is defended.”

Dr. Haxhiu has called for national unity and state commitment to justice for the victims, the disappeared, and the fallen heroes of Kosovo's independence.
